Using the Line and Paragraph Spacing Icon in the Toolbar

Simplest method.

Highlight the text you want to double-space.

Click on the line and paragraph spacing icon in the toolbar.

It looks something like this …

Then select Double, from the options.

You can apply this to the whole text by highlighting everything.

(Press Ctrl + A) and then follow the same steps as before.

The same thing can be achieved via the Format menu.

Here is how to double space in the Google Docs app.

(Either Android or IOS).

First Open the file you need to edit and turn off viewing mode.

Next, select the text you want to edit.

Tap on the Format Icon.

(Resembling a capital “A” with lines next to it).

Scroll down a bit until you find the Line Spacingoption.
